From reporters: Name, phone number, email, city/state, and scam report details including screenshots. Your personal details are never shown publicly — only the scam report and scammer details are published.
From visitors: Basic analytics data such as pages visited and device type. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising.
Scammer information: Phone numbers, UPI IDs, social media handles, and websites of reported scammers are published publicly.
2. How We Use Your Data
Reporter information is used to: (a) verify report authenticity, (b) contact you if needed, (c) notify you of disputes. We never sell, share, or rent your personal information to third parties.
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers with encryption. We follow industry-standard security practices. However, no system is 100% secure.
4. Screenshot Processing
Screenshots are processed to auto-redact personal details of reporters. Redacted screenshots may be displayed publicly. Original unredacted screenshots are stored securely and not publicly accessible.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to: (a) request access to your data, (b) request correction of inaccurate data, (c) request deletion of your data, (d) withdraw consent. Email us at privacy@scammedme.in.
6. Minors
ScammedMe.in is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
7. Data Retention
Scam reports remain on the platform unless disputed and found false, or unless the reporter requests removal. Personal data is deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.
8. Changes
We may update this policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
